//....named after a vintage Zappa track. i first got into Frank Zappa when i was about 11 years old, with the album 'Sheik Yerbouti', which i got from one of the older teen-aged cousins who lived down my street after a street hockey game. not knowing much about FZ, who looked super cool on the album cover, i popped the new music into my state of the art ghetto blaster, and distinctly remember listening to the whole thing in one sitting. smuggling the player into my room and sitting with my earphones in awe. changed my music tastes from there on out. bizarre, hilarious, complex, and it f'n rocked. that stinkin' cassette tape had to be replaced 3 times over the years due to its worn out state, and now is owned in cd and wax format as well. with the quality of full albums nowadays worse than britneys judgement, its great listening to an album from start to finish as the artist intended, and this baby would be one of the few items i'd take with me to a deserted island. and a way back off the island of course.
