//...so let me get this straight. i THOUGHT i had recorded a new CSI Vegas, and sat down comfortably to watch, when i realize what actually was recorded, was 'Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?'......what the !?!?!? i'd never even heard of this, a game show for what is quite a bit of coin to see if you are smarter than a 10 or 11 year old? geeez. so i watched it for a bit, and see its really a Jeff Foxworthy-hosted, redneck-based game show. the contestant, a HUGE redneck himself, who also needed help for the first 3 questions from these fifth graders, is now up to $100K, and has announced he will buy baby diapers with the winnings, oh, and a Lamborghini, and repaint it camouflage colour. ughh. at least i felt somewhat smart now after getting 4 of 5 right. just keep the calculus questions away from me.
...and good way to teach kids the perception that anything you learn after fifth grade really is useless as an adult. at least he makes the contestant afterwards say 'I'm NOT smarter than a 5th grader'....albeit with a new $100K. just hope those 5th graders are getting paid well.
